We are always looking for ambitious people who are excited about joining our team. We’re proud to be working with The Salvation Army Employment Plus (EPlus) to create more opportunities for people within our community.
As our business continues to grow, we are committed to sourcing applicants from job seekers registered with EPlus. We continually work to provide educational and vocational opportunities in the workplace.
We’re grateful to have this opportunity to give back to the community that supports us and help prepare and educate the next generation of skilled professional tradespeople.
Raize the Roof
Raize the Roof is a charity founded by local young Canberrans passionate about improving the lives of children who are ‘less lucky’ then most.
Powered by inspiration, innovation and dedication, the Raize the Roof team along with the Canberra community assist local children who are suffering from illness and also children of the world who are orphaned due to disease or circumstance.
In 2018, Select Electrical and Solar Solutions supplied and installed a solar system at the Raize the Roof charity house valued at $9,567.92. This system generates an energy output of 6,775kWh per year, providing the homeowners with $1,694.00 in electricity savings and reducing greenhouse emissions by 5,894 kg CO2 per year.
The Raize the Roof charity house sold for $855,000, with all of the money raised going to the Starlight Children’s Foundation and SOS Children’s Villages Botswana.
We were honoured to be a part of this fundraising initiative and assist in providing much-needed funds for children in need.
ARC (Animal Rescue Cooperative)
We are proud to have collaborated with the Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC) in supporting their mission since 2020. ARC is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals, as well as providing essential food and support to animals in need.
One impactful project focused on the Cobargo Wildlife Sanctuary, where our team, led by the remarkable Josh, played a crucial role in essential rebuilds. Josh’s immediate and selfless response to ARC’s call for help mirrors our team’s ethos. From transporting goods to assembling IKEA furniture in challenging conditions, we are humbled to be recognised as part of the dedicated effort to support wildlife and their carers.
In another life-changing initiative, Select Electrical partnered with ARC to enhance the lives of two remarkable carers, Shannon of Whisker Woods Sanctuary and Anne, a dedicated wombat carer. Both faced significant challenges following bushfires, including power and water shortages. With everyone’s support, we installed solar power systems for both sanctuaries, ensuring a continuous energy supply to meet their unique needs.

Rise Above Cancer Convoy
We proudly participated in the impactful Rise Above Cancer Convoy—which is more than just a procession of trucks; it’s a powerful movement dedicated to raising funds for individuals and families affected by cancer in the ACT. This inspiring event has successfully raised an impressive amount, showcasing the incredible generosity within our community.
As active participants, we played a crucial role in the success of Canberra’s largest annual event, symbolising unity and solidarity in the fight against cancer. Select Electrical stands alongside the Rise Above Cancer Convoy, supporting a day filled with family activities and entertainment, fostering a sense of community and hope.
